**Title: "Fawna of the Fernlight Glen"**

In a glade hidden deep within Fernlight Glen, where moonlight danced like silver butterflies and mushrooms hummed lullabies, lived a fae creature named Fawna. She was no taller than a squirrel, with curling vines for hair and eyes that shimmered the color of new spring leaves.

Fawna was unlike other fae. While most delighted in mischief and mayhem, she preferred stillness, secrets, and the stories of the forest. She listened to the roots as they whispered ancient truths, followed the trails of dew left by snails, and sang softly to wounded animals until they slept in peace.

One day, a strange silence fell over Fernlight Glen. Birds forgot to sing, and even the brook stilled its babble. The elder trees stirred uneasily. Fawna tiptoed through the hush and found the source: a cracked stone ring, pulsing with shadow. Something had broken the barrier between the glen and the forgotten world beyond.

Knowing the forest’s balance was in danger, Fawna did what no one expected—she stepped through the ring.

The world on the other side was gray and forgotten, littered with rusted memories and silence that bit like frost. Fawna shivered but pressed on, her presence bringing flickers of color in her wake—sprigs of moss, fluttering fireflies, warmth.

She found the source of the rot: a withered tree, once a guardian of balance, now hollowed and cold. She climbed into its heart and whispered the stories of Fernlight Glen—of singing fungi, of moon-kissed petals, of kindness. Slowly, the tree remembered. Its bark softened. A single green shoot rose from the rot.

Fawna returned home to find the glen brighter, fuller, alive in ways it had forgotten. She never boasted of her journey, but the forest knew. Flowers bloomed where she stepped, and wind chimes sang her name.

And so the smallest fae, quiet and strange, became the heart of Fernlight Glen.
